What is Endangerment?
This question might have crossed your mind a time or two since you first clicked on this website. By definition, endangerment means "to expose to harm or danger; imperil. To threaten with extinction" As most people know, extinction of a plant or animal means it has completely disappeared from earth and is never coming back. Take dinosaurs for example, unless Jurassic Park is real, they are more than likely never going to reappear on Earth.
Back to endangerment. An endangered species is a plant or animal that currently exist in small numbers and are in danger of becoming extinct if extreme measures are not taken to ensure that they are protected. These species are not only needed to be saved because they are beautiful, but also because they help provide us with tasks and services that would otherwise not be available if they become extinct.

What Contributes to Endangerment?
Deforestation and pollution caused due to mining activities have endangered animals in Taiga. Moreover, hunting of animals for their meat and fur has added to their endangerment. The recurring occurrence of fire in the woods has also caused habitat loss to them.
